2025 - 2026 Impact Report

Garrett Seminary forms courageous leaders in the way of Jesus to cultivate communities of justice, compassion, and hope.

For the thriving of the church, and the healing of the world.

The woman in the foreground wears glasses, a beige shirt with Peanuts characters, and carries a beige bag, while the man behind her wears glasses, a dark button-up shirt, and beige pants.

Building an Accessible and Affordable Seminary

Your generosity is opening new paths to theological education—helping students say “yes” to God’s call. Alumni bring the passion they found into the world, where they work for healing and wholeness.

Engaged Scholarship Bears Wisdom into Community

Your support empowers faculty to research solutions to seemingly intractable problems. Centers and institutes bring that work into churches and grassroots organizations, to help build necessary change.

A Strong Foundation for the
Work That Is to Come

Philanthropy nurtures institutional flexibility. A push for annual giving will expand our capacity to meet opportunities as they arise. In November, a new comprehensive campaign will deepen Garrett’s mission.

This November, we are coming home one more time—and we would be honored to have you with us. Homecoming 2026 marks a milestone in the life of our seminary: the last full Homecoming on our Sheridan Road campus before we relocate. For so many of us, this is the place where a call became a vocation, where friendships were formed that have lasted a lifetime, and where the Spirit met us in classrooms, in chapel, and around shared tables.

We will gather for three days of worship, learning, reunion, and celebration. Whether you return for the entire weekend or slip in for a single day, there is a place for you here. Come and see old friends. Walk these halls once more. Sing the hymns, share the meals, and remember why this ground is holy to you. Every graduate and friend of the seminary is welcome at our table.

Your Dollars at Work

Thanks to your generosity, Garrett has become an industry leader in the scholarship aid we offer students. Scholarships do more than lighten the burden of tuition—they create possibilities. By eliminating financial barriers, we attract the most dynamic candidates to our degree programs and empower them to answer their callings with greater confidence. Increasingly, however, students require additional support after they enroll. Removing these “hidden” costs lets them devote more time to learning and formation and engage more fully in the life of the seminary and the communities they serve. This year, we hope to expand these forms of support with your help.

Nurture the Future. Today.

Every chapter in Garrett's history has been shaped by people who understood that institutions who serve the common good are built over time and require faithful stewardship. Now the next generation of clergy, counselors, and community leaders needs your support.

The Holy Spirit moves in their dreams and passions. Will you help them answer that call?
